About This Project

A Prior Lake family near Grainwood Elementary School reached out to Traxler Curbing to bring order to their yard’s borders. Their driveway edges had become ragged and uneven over the years, and two side-yard garden beds lacked any defined boundary, causing mulch to spill onto the lawn after every rain. They wanted clean, no-fuss straight curbing that would solve both problems permanently.

We installed straight concrete curbing along both sides of the driveway, creating a sharp, uniform edge that visually frames the entrance to the home. For the two side-yard garden beds, we ran matching straight borders that provide a solid barrier between the mulched beds and the lawn. The concrete was mixed with an integral gray color to match the driveway, and we finished the surface with a smooth trowel for a clean, modern look.

Since the installation, the homeowner has noticed a dramatic reduction in the time spent maintaining the edges of their garden beds. Mulch stays where it belongs, the mower can ride right along the curbing edge, and the overall property looks more polished and intentional. This project is a perfect example of how straightforward curbing can make a big impact on both appearance and maintenance.
